The REINFORCING ORRI Platform

The REINFORCING ORRI Platform is an online space where users can find clear guidance, materials and support related to Open and Responsible Research and Innovation (ORRI). Developed by the EU-funded REINFORCING project, the platform brings together funding options, tools, training sessions and a growing community of organisations committed to advancing ORRI in their work. Its purpose is to help groups start, strengthen or expand their ORRI practices in a simple and accessible way.
The platform has become a central point for both newcomers and experienced users, offering a place to learn, connect and find practical support for building ORRI actions. Four sections are currently available.
Grants provide users with direct access to funding opportunities offered by REINFORCING. It outlines eligibility rules, displays past and current calls, and includes links to previous call results. This helps users understand how selections were made and what to consider when shaping their proposals. These grants support organisations at different stages of their ORRI work, combining financial support with learning materials and community connections.
ORRI Community brings together organisations, experts and local actors active in this field. A core feature is the ORRI Map, which allows users to see which institutions across Europe are involved in ORRI and how to contact them. This section also showcases groups funded by REINFORCING, their projects and their outputs, while highlighting related initiatives and wider networks with similar aims.
Tools contain more than one hundred practical resources, ranging from guides and examples to concise notes and methods that support users in shaping ORRI actions. A filter system allows visitors to search by role, topic or type of material, enabling them to quickly find what matches their needs.
Trainings offer access to learning sessions created within REINFORCING as well as materials developed with partner projects. These sessions provide clear explanations for users who want to understand ORRI more deeply or apply it in practice.
Beyond its individual sections, the ORRI Platform serves as a shared space that gives visibility to the broader ORRI community. It helps users connect, exchange experiences and form new links with others working towards similar goals. By bringing funding, tools, training and community together in one place, the platform strengthens the support system around ORRI and makes it easier for organisations to build steady, meaningful progress in this area.
