OSPERA
OSPERA is an independent, non-profit association based in Osijek, Croatia, founded in 2013. The organisation works at the intersection of environmental protection, permaculture, sustainable living, education, and citizen engagement, with a strong focus on nature-based solutions and community involvement.
OSPERA designs and implements local, national, and international projects that promote biodiversity conservation, sustainable land and water management, and environmental awareness. The association has extensive experience in citizen science, participatory education, volunteer engagement, and cooperation with protected areas, including Kopački rit Nature Park and Mura-Drava Regional Park.
A key activity of OSPERA is the development and operation of LIVING LAB Podravlje, an open-air learning and experimentation space used for citizen science activities, environmental education, and testing sustainable practices.
Through its work, OSPERA aims to empower citizens, strengthen local capacities, and support evidence-based approaches to nature conservation and sustainable development.
