Cultiva Lab is a female led consultancy agency and an open space for collaboration and collective construction of regenerative and just change processes at individual, community and institutional levels.
We are specialised in participatory research and strategy development processes - providing research, advisory services, workshops, and tailor made learning journeys for individuals, civil society organisations, educational and public sector institutions.
Cultiva Lab is rooted in the permaculture ethics of People Care, Planet Care, Fair Share. To thrive, we believe it is essential to start from the complex ecosystems that shape and sustain us. We believe that in a world of increasing rapid digital transformation and planetary uncertainties, essential questions can only be resolved if we learn to embody this attention.
‘Cultivar’ [kul.tiˈβaɾ] is Spanish for ‘to cultivate’ and means to nurture and care
for something to help it thrive. Originated in agriculture, to
cultivate refers to preparing and nurturing the soil to grow crops or
plants. In permanent agriculture, known as permaculture, it is
cultivated as an ecosystem which combines different forms of life and
which acknowledges and integrates the complexity and the multiple power
dimensions of ecosystems.
Cultivating all-life affirming presents and futures is what Cultiva Lab stands for.
