Dhulikona

Dhulikona is a student-led science framework and open-access education initiative based in Khulna, Bangladesh. Founded with the mission to remove socioeconomic and geographical barriers from advanced STEM disciplines, the organization focuses on democratizing scientific literacy and building technical resilience among the youth. Dhulikona bridges the gap between grassroots student curiosity and international scientific research infrastructures.

The organization's core operations center on training, peer mentorship, and scaling open-source citizen science campaigns. Dhulikona has successfully guided and mentored over 150 students, preparing them to interact with global research data pools and collaborative platforms. Through structured training pipelines, the organization facilitates youth participation in international data analysis initiatives, including crowdsourced deep-space mapping on the Zooniverse platform, galaxy morphology classifications, and real-time asteroid hunting tracking campaigns with the International Astronomical Search Collaboration (IASC).

By translating complex astrophysical concepts into regional languages and introducing specialized fields like neuroscience, algorithmic thinking, and astrobiology to secondary school students, Dhulikona fosters an inclusive ecosystem for early-career research. The organization works to centralize fractured student communities, providing them with the tools, mentorship, and networks required to contribute meaningfully to global open-science datasets.
