I grew up next to the Danube
The project promoted the importance of aquatic ecosystems through cooperation with nature conservation organisations. It introduced innovative teaching methods by engaging students in two study visits to the Danube River, combining practical activities with those organised in the outdoor classroom "Outside Lab". Furthermore, students compiled research reports on local water resources, which were shared during school exhibitions and science fairs.
Aim
To promote water conservation, ecosystem protection and practical environmental education linked to the Danube. The work linked classroom learning with practical environmental action and helped students communicate the value of protecting their local aquatic environment.
