Ocean to Us (O2Us)
The "O2Us – Ocean to Us" project engaged students from Years 7 to 12 in a diverse range of activities focused on ocean literacy, including citizen science, scientific research, and nautical communication. Participants conducted laboratory and field analyses, specifically researching factors affecting the growth of the microalga Chlorella vulgaris using sensors and spectrophotometry.
Aim
To promote ocean literacy and connect students with marine and estuarine ecosystems through research and communication. The work linked classroom learning with practical environmental action and helped students communicate the value of protecting their local aquatic environment.
