SAVE SEA TURTLES ACTION & RESCUE (S.T.A.R.)
The project focused on plastic pollution and its impact on marine turtles, involving the whole school and students aged 9 to 12 years. It began with clean-ups in the inland city of Terrassa and concluded in Palamós on the Mediterranean coast with a marine biodiversity camp. Students led stream clean-ups in Terrassa and participated in the “City Streams to Ocean Dreams” campaign, which culminated in a marine biodiversity camp in Palamós.
Aim
To raise awareness of marine turtle conservation, responsible consumption and marine biodiversity. The work linked classroom learning with practical environmental action and helped students communicate the value of protecting their local aquatic environment.
