SEAFans.Science, Environment and Arts on the Ocean (SEAFans)
The SEAFans project involved all educational levels, focusing on marine biodiversity, land-sea connections, and the human relationship with the ocean. Students and teachers took part in diverse, interdisciplinary activities—including visits to coastal areas, snorkelling, clean-ups, scientific workshops, and cultural and artistic events—to promote active learning.
Aim
To create lasting emotional, scientific and cultural bonds between students, teachers and the sea. It fostered environmental awareness, scientific curiosity, creativity, and positive emotional ties with nature. The work linked classroom learning with practical environmental action and helped students communicate the value of protecting their local aquatic environment.
