The Treasures of Our Sea
More than 300 students from the institute dedicated several weeks to discovering the treasures of the sea within their local town. In most cases, despite these being local points typical of their municipality, the students were previously unaware of the natural wonders hidden there. Additionally, the project generated student-made educational games, informative posters, a website, and a series of videos documenting local marine reserves.
Aim
To help students discover, respect and communicate the ecological and cultural value of their local sea and coastal environments. The work linked classroom learning with practical environmental action and helped students communicate the value of protecting their local aquatic environment.
