Blue Fishing Vessel (BFV-P)
The project involved students attending the last three years of the catering sector at the Amato Vetrano Institute in Sciacca and was implemented through several phases. This included preparation, the organisation of a conference on the Blue Crab, and a visit to the Sciacca marina. Students met with local fishermen, participated in an environmental education workshop, and learnt about various fishing techniques.
Aim
To strengthen students' water and ocean literacy through practical activities addressing sustainable fisheries, blue economy, seafood supply chains, fishing traditions, marine awareness, while promoting environmental responsibility, scientific understanding and community engagement.
