BlueHunnebo - BlueSchool Pilot Hunnebostrand (BlueHunnebo)
The BlueHunnebo project increased ocean awareness among students through theory, field excursions, and study visits. Students created materials shared with the public to showcase their learnings. The school collaborated with local, regional, and national actors, researchers, and companies, providing knowledge of the sea, blue biotechnology, and marine litter. All classes participated in the “Ocean Week” with activities such as beach clean- ups.
Aim
The goal was to provide students from preschool to secondary school with a solid and gradually deepened understanding of the ocean. The project supported learners in connecting local water issues with practical conservation actions, public awareness and long-term school-based sustainability practices.
