L.O.C.K. – Lubrzanka: Observe, Conserve and Keep (LO.C.K.)

The L.O.C.K. project aimed to increase knowledge about local biodiversity next to the Lubrzanka River in Suków, a rural area in Poland. It promoted activities to keep the river safe and developed key competences and digital skills among 150 students aged 7–12. This was achieved through various field activities such as river clean-ups, water quality assessments, and study visits to a wastewater treatment station and an environmental education.

Aim

The project aimed to increase knowledge about local biodiversity next to the Lubrzanka River in Suków, a rural area in Poland. The project supported learners in connecting local water issues with practical conservation actions, public awareness and long-term school-based sustainability practices.
