Ocean Wisdom Academy: Learn and Act
The project promoted awareness, protection, and appreciation of Posidonia oceanica, a priority ecosystem in the Mediterranean Sea and a key resource for biodiversity, coastal protection, and climate change mitigation. Through an integrated programme of environmental education, citizen science, and public communication, students were involved in theoretical and practical training activities.
Aim
It also strengthened the active role of young people in marine protection, contributing to the objectives of the EU Mission "Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030". The project supported learners in connecting local water issues with practical conservation actions, public awareness and long-term school-based sustainability practices.
