Tales of the Blue: Engaging Children in Ocean-friendly Storytelling

Tales of the Blue combined experiential learning, inquiry-based science and creative expression to address overfishing and marine sustainability. Students interviewed professionals, studied family consumption habits, explored marine ecosystem dynamics through simulations and transformed their learning into storytelling, visual arts, music and a co-created storybook.

Aim

To help children understand overfishing and responsible marine choices by linking scientific inquiry with creative storytelling and community-based reflection.
