The Beach Scouts: Young Visual Ambassadors for a Plastic-Free Coastline

Completed

The Beach Scouts involved 150 blind students in awareness activities on coastal plastic pollution. Through multisensory workshops, beach clean-up campaigns and social-media audio messages, the project trained 23 young ambassadors to share knowledge with peers and the wider community, strengthening inclusion, leadership and responsible environmental behaviour.

Aim

To make coastal environmental education accessible to blind students while building confidence, leadership and awareness of plastic pollution and marine protection.
