This deliverable is part of WP7 of the ECS project, Policy Impacts and Recommendations, whose overall objective is to promote the recognition of citizen science as a powerful tool for policymaking and a valuable research approach that contributes to scientific excellence and sustainable development in Europe.
The deliverable sets out a comprehensive strategy for ECS policy engagement, developed through a collaborative co-design process involving all consortium members. It defines the aims, scope, target audiences and operational approach of the project’s policy engagement activities, while outlining the role of WP7 in their effective implementation.
The strategy lays the groundwork for high-impact policy engagement by analysing the current policy landscape, identifying priorities, key actors and relevant policy documents, and establishing a clear framework for WP7’s contribution. It serves as a reference for aligning, coordinating and monitoring policy engagement efforts across the project, while promoting transparency and accountability throughout the process.
