This document draws on from ECS project outcomes (deliverables, events and publications from several work
packages), and from pertinent results obtained from policy-related activities: high-level policy events, national
level policy-oriented co-creation events, policy workshops in the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA)
conferences and other external conferences, the revision of the CS for SDG Declaration, and continuous
support to the AEs to develop advocacy efforts.
The principal objective of these policy recommendations is to ensure continuity and progress at the
policy-level for CS communities across Europe, beyond the ECS project lifetime, positioning CS as
instrumentalto build trustin science and foster informed and active democracy participation.
