BOUNCE Bonn University Citizen Science Covid-19 Symposium 2023

In response to the pandemic, BOUNCE (Bonn University Citizen Science) conducted a Covid-19 project in 2022 that brought together the fields of medicine and public health research and citizen science. The project will culminate in a 2-day symposium at Bonn University Hospital from 16-17 May 2023 in cooperation with the NeuroCOV Project of the German Centre for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE). Participants will learn about important scientific findings, receive valuable tools to take their health into their own hands. Registrations for participation (in person and online) will be made from the 15 March to 30 April 2023.

BioBlitz a tutti i costi

The “BioBlitz a tutti i costi” is a free event open to everyone, to learn to recognize living species present in nature and to collect original scientific data, useful for conservation. Through the iNaturalist app, you can send photos of animal and plant species (not domestic) that you took outdoors or in one of the participating National Parks. If you can't leave home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, you can upload photos from your archives. As in a real BioBlitz (which usually lasts 24 hours and is held outdoors), the "BioBlitz a tutti i costi " will produce a list of species thanks to the collaboration between citizens and experts who will help you in identifications. 3rd Annual Citizen Engagement and Deliberative Democracy Festival

How is democracy changing? How can citizens participate in this change? These are the themes of the 3rd Annual Citizen Engagement and Deliberative Democracy Festival. The global COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted societal and policy challenges amid uncertainty. People need solutions that go beyond business-as-usual policy. Open to all, the Citizen Engagement and Deliberative Democracy Festival is the chance for people of diverse backgrounds to gather and tackle some of the pressing issues of our time.
